Nupe of the Month!

 

For December 2025, Brother Martin Matthews has been named Nupe of the Month in recognition of his unwavering commitment, steadfast support, and invaluable contributions to the Chapter and Foundation initiatives, truly exemplifying the spirit and ideals of Phi Nu Pi through his actions and service.

Brother Matthews is a Fall 1981 initiate of the Morehouse College Chapter, the Pi (Π) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

A true servant-leader, Brother Matthews is a regular participant in the Chapter’s monthly meal-packing initiative in partnership with the Marie Wilkerson Food Pantry in Aurora. He also played an integral role in the success of the 2025 Kappa Derby Party, which raised more than $14,000 in support of the Diamond Youth Foundation, our 501(c)(3) organization committed to serving youth in the Western Suburbs of Chicago through the Guide Right Mentoring Program and scholarships for deserving college-bound students. Brother Matthews will continue his leadership as Chairman of the 2026 Kappa Derby Party.

Professionally, Brother Matthews serves as CEO of MGR Policy Group, where he exemplifies excellence by providing consulting services and advanced data platforms that streamline workflows and reporting. He previously completed a distinguished 34-year career with Merck & Co., serving as Director of Government Affairs and leading legislative and advocacy efforts related to access to medicines. He also served as the national policy lead for Diabetes and HPV Vaccine policy.
