Nupe of the Month!

 

For January 2026, Brother Derrick Jackson, II has been named Nupe of the Month in recognition of his exceptional commitment, steadfast support, and invaluable contributions to the Chapter and our Foundation initiatives.

Brother Jackson is a Spring 2024 initiate of the Maywood-Wheaton (IL) Alumni Chapter and a graduate of Oral Roberts University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Professionally, Brother Jackson is a successful real estate broker serving the Chicagoland area.

Since his initiation, Brother Jackson has fully embraced his neophyte status, consistently going above and beyond in service, support, and advancing the Chapter’s goals wherever needed. He currently serves as the Assistant Keeper of Records and plays a key role in the Chapter’s communications strategy, while also serving on several committees.

Brother Jackson is the driving force behind the Kappa Kapsule, the Chapter’s monthly newsletter, which is truly world-class and rivals professional publications. If you haven’t taken the time to read it, you are truly missing out. In addition, he has successfully managed several major projects, including the Chapter storage facility move and the 12 Days of Kappa Christmas Fundraiser. He also led the Summer Double Good Popcorn Drive as the top sales leader, generating $2,644 in individual sales.
