Greetings,
As the 24th Polemarch of the Maywood-Wheaton Alumni Chapter (MWAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., I am honored and humbled to greet the public in the spirit of community and my fellow members of Kappa Alpha Psi in the spirit of Brotherhood. On behalf of the entire chapter, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the MWAC website.
It is our intention to provide the members of this chapter with a gateway to information that will encourage engagement and participation in the chapter initiatives. We hope the public will use this website to gained knowledge about Kappa Alpha Psi, MWAC and the many partnerships with the community.
This year marks the 43rd year of our Chapter's existence in the Western Suburbs. We celebrate the past and rich history of our award-winning chapter chartered on January 11th, 1976, 65 years after the Fraternity's birth on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. We also embrace the present of this great chapter that has grown to 70 financial members. A present where we mentor over 240 young men on
an annual basis at our Guide Right high schools in the Western suburbs. A present where we are dedicated to supporting our community through book drives, food drives and the adopt-a-highway program. A present where we have given over $140,000 in scholarships to high school students through our non-profit arm, the Diamond Youth Foundation. Finally, we are excited about the future and the changes and challenges it will bring. We are a chapter committed to excellence and achievement in every field of human endeavor.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge our community and church partners. We appreciate your unconditional support for MWAC. We could not do the work we do as men of Kappa Alpha Psi without your partnership and encouragement.
