Maywood -Wheaton Alumni Chapter Black Bow Tie Purchase
The Guide to Protocol & Etiquette in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. states on page 12 that all members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity are expected to be attired befitting the occasion. On formal Fraternity observances; Founders' Day Dinner, Grand Chapter Banquet & Ball, Province Banquet & Ball, Chapter Banquet & Ball, the officially approved mode of dress is a tuxedo (i.e. formal tie, white shirt and tuxedo jacket). There should be no exceptions. A black bow tie should be worn to all Founders' Day banquets
Brothers while it is great that we are purchasing these fantastic looking bow ties to be fashionable with a Kappa flare, please remember the reason these ties were presented to the chapter. Maywood-Wheaton is hosting the Chicago Metro-Founders Day, and at 90 Brothers strong, there is an expectation that we will have an overwhelmingly large number of MWAC brothers in attendance.
We had 50 Brothers state they wanted a Black bow tie. The expectation is that these 50, will joined by the other 40, to give MWAC its strongest showing at a Chicago Metro Founders' Day event EVER!
Brothers that have chosen to purchase the Black Bow tie ($25.00 ea) may pay for it in one of several ways
